Julianne Moore

Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moor is a Hollywood writer and actress who has been recognized for her talent. She's the daughter of a Sagittarius born on December 3 1960 in North Carolina. She is the oldest child from Peter Moore Smith a paratrooper and Anne an undergraduate student in psychology. She has English and Scottish heritage. Moore moved frequently with her family due to the job that her dad was employed in. This made it difficult to make or maintain new acquaintances. The family moved to Germany Moore went to Frankfurt American High School where she began appearing in productions. Her education continued at Boston University where she graduated in 1983 with a B.F.A. After graduating, Moore moved to New York where she started her journey in Off-Broadway Theater. Moore relocated into New York after graduating and began her career with off-broadway theater. In 1985 Moore made her screen debut on The Edge of Night. The following year, she played two roles as Frannie and Sabrina Hughes in As the World Turns, which was her first break. She was on As the World Turns from 1986 until 1988. In recognition of her performance she was awarded a Daytime Emmy Award. She made her film debut in 1990 when she starred in Tales from the Darkside: The Movie that she later described as a shambles low-budget production. She appeared in Short Cuts (1993) and 3 Women (1997) both films by Robert Altman. Her role in critically acclaimed Short Cuts (1993) was rewarded with several nominations. Moore got her first role in the role of a leading lady on the screen in Safe (1996). The casting of Steven Spielberg's Moore as the lead in Jurassic Park: The Lost World which was one of the highest grossing films from 1997, was a significant turning point for her career. She received an SAG nomination in 1999 for the part she played in Magnolia which was a highly praised film. She was in co-starring roles with Nicole Kidman, Meryl Streep along with other actors on The Hours, which was repeatedly nominated for Academy Awards. Moore is also featured in The Forgotten (2004), Freedomland 2006, Shelter 2010, etc. She was also in Non-Stop (2014). Moore has been featured in numerous TV and film series. Her most recent prominent roles was In 2022, When You Finish Securing the World. She has established her career in Hollywood and is a successful children's book author. Her first novel was published Freckleface Strawberry in 2007 and was a N.Y.T. The best-selling book was made into a movie, series and even a musical. Moore also published My Mom's Foreigner, a memoir in 2013. Moore is known as a well-known actor and a novelist. She was married in 1984 to John Robin and in 1995 they divorced. Bart Freundlich is the father of two of her kids. Moore's life is all about her friends from the family and work.
